Dear Friends, I am delighted to announce that 2009 marks the 25th anniversary of our educational consulting practice! From our roots in Brookline where I started our firm in 1984, we have assisted thousands of applicants as they navigate the process of college, school and/or graduate admissions. With a quarter of a century of experience to build upon and having developed a sizeable, diverse and talented staff of consultants, with offices in many cities, we are introducing the Dunbar Newsletter. This will be a way for us to keep our students and their families informed of changes and innovations as they take place in admission's cultures. Our newsletter will share recent developments in admissions, as well as timely advice for students and their families. Each issue will include links to significant and relevant news articles. This premiere issue, for instance, includes a link to the College Board's description of their new SAT Score Choice policy and offers the Dunbar point of view on the new policy. We'll also use this technology to send out reminders about test registration deadlines and on top of that, important ideas and perceptions by our individual consultants as they pass on to you their ever-evolving knowledge of how current admissions offices review applicants and their applications.
