Let's Talk About College Rankings!
Anyone who is involved with or interested in the college application process is well aware of the many rankings that are available to them. There are rankings for all types of categories, from best this to best that, from largest to smallest, from the least to the most, etc., etc. Please, please, please consider these rankings for what they are: lists put together to drive magazine or book sales by individuals and groups using methods of determination that may or may not be accurate. Yes, many rankings offer some useful information, but many can be misleading - just be careful to look beyond a simple ranking. We've gathered a few articles here that discuss some of the issues with college rankings.
