Are You Aware That Dunbar Works with Special Situations?
Most families with whom we work are on a traditional path, whether it be for secondary school, college or graduate school. There are those students, however, who are struggling emotionally, dealing with depression and/or anxieties and who may be "acting out" through drug use, eating disorders or oppositional behavior. Unfortunately, the holiday season is a time when many of these issues worsen for families. We are here to help.
There are many educational options for kids who may not be served by their current school. I have worked in this area of education for a number of years (as well as having a family member who suffered) and can help parents struggling with what to do with their child who is not living up to his or her potential. If you are one of these families, or know of a family who is struggling, I will be glad to speak with you confidentially. If we can't help in a particular situation, we will be glad to refer you to another professional we believe has the expertise to help you.
