"Super" Scoring the SAT and ACT
You have probably heard about super scoring, and how that can help you post a higher testing profile for college admission. Most colleges will consider only your highest scores from each section of the SATs that you have taken on different test dates. This practice obviously works to your benefit. Colleges have been slower to apply super scoring to the ACT, but the list of colleges which do so has been growing.
Because not all colleges super score, we never recommend off-the-wall testing strategies such as taking the same test multiple times in order to focus your efforts on a single subsection of the test at each sitting. Check with each of the colleges on your list to confirm their practice regarding standardized test requirements and super scoring.
